Pono Chong
Pono Chong has over 30 years in project management, business development, public policy and grant development and management.
He started his career as a budget analyst in the Senate Ways and Means Committee, then worked at the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs and the Office of Hawaiian Affairs before running for elected office.
Following his legislative career, Pono served in various leadership roles in mission driven organizations responsible for advocacy, business development, writing and managing federal grants, workforce development and manufacturing initiatives. He is married and has two children.
